Complete Microsoft BI Project (SSIS packages, SSAS Cubes) Modification to Implement a New BI project that Analyzes the Client's Business on a new Currency

Goal

  • The client manages all its business activities on the ERP Microsoft Navision, and analyzes all its activities (Marketing, Sales, Purchases, etc.) throw a Microsoft BI project (SSIS packages, SSAS Cubes) and several Dashboards that load Data from SSAS cubes.
  • The Client adds new transactional data of its activities on the ERP on a new currency and needs to implement a new Microsoft BI project (SSIS packages, SSAS Cubes) that analyze its activities on the new currency.

Result

  • Delivery of a complete and fully automated new Microsoft BI project ( several SSIS packages, several SSAS Cubes) that analyzes all the client’s activities (Marketing, Sales, Purchases, etc.) on the new currency.
  •  The client analyzes all its activities on the new currency throw several Dashboards and reports that load Data from the newly delivered multidimensional cubes.

  • Continuous collaboration with internal IT team and business team during the entire project.
  • Identification of the ERP DataBase tables containing business data on the new currency.
  • Implementation of new tables on the BI project’s different databases (Stage, Operational Data Store ODS, Data Warehouse DW).
  • Development and implementation of new SSIS packages that load Data on the new currency from

    the ERP to the BI platform’s databases Stage, ODS, and DW.

  • Development, Processing, and deployment of new multidimensional cubes (Marketing, Sales, Purchases, etc.) that analyze business activities on the new currency.
  • Incremental deliveries of multidimensional cubes and their validation with the IT and business teams, until their complete validation.
  • Complete validation of the project with management, business, and IT teams and its deployment on the Run servers.
